Zim is terminating a two-year-old trans-Pacific service, while beefing up a Southeast Asia–US East Coast route, as weakened Chinese imports and too much capacity have combined to pull down container spot rates.

CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd join MSC in hiking India–US rates

Later this month, CMA CGM and Hapag-Lloyd will impose general rate increases of $600 per FEU and $500 per FEU, respectively, on all shipments from India to North America, but with demand waning, those GRIs may not stick.
